Dead body found in Snæfellsnes, West Iceland
Icelandic news site DV reports that body parts were recently found in Snæfellsnes. The body has not been identified.
This story will be updated as we receive more information.
Update: The remains were discovered by a fishing trawler fishing at considerable depth in Faxaflói last month. The captain registered the exact location and police were notified. A submarine was dispatched with equipment to take photographs and sonar images of the bottom of the ocean. Another submarine was then used to gather the remains from the ocean floor.
