Bus, Carrying 23, Rolls over near Þingvellir

A bus with 23 people on board rolled over on Þingvallavegur road, on Mosfellsheiði, west of Þingvallavatn lake, at about 10:30 am, mbl.is reports.

First responders have arrived on the scene. According to information from the Capital Area Fire Department, injuries are believed to be minor.

A message, posted by the South Iceland Police on Facebook, states that a paramedic, stationed at Þingvellir, went to the scene right away. It was soon clear that the accident was not serious, and that there appeared to be no serious injuries.

The weather is cold in the area, and passengers are being transported to the tourist service center at Þingvellir.

The bus company operator is sending another bus along to pick up passengers who do not require being transported by ambulance for further examination.

There is no information available regarding the nationality of the passengers.
