Espionage on Iceland exists, confirms state police
The Icelandic state police have made a written reply to a query by Morgunblaðið newspaper on whether foreign countries spy on Iceland like in other states. The reply states that it is the assessment of the state police that foreign countries engage in ongoing espionage in Iceland.
Asked whether the state police are able to tend to this field and have enough staff or funds, the police replied that the police force has to prioritise their tasks.
