Þórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörð Gylfadóttir is happy about Iceland topping the list again, and breaking the 90% glass ceiling. mbl.is/Eggert Jóhannesson

Iceland tops the list for the thirteenth year in a row when it comes to gender equality according to the World Economic Forum. Four of the Scandinavian countries are in the top 5 places on the list, with only New Zealand in 4th place. 

The forum publishes every year a list where countries are positioned on the list based on  gender equality in each country. The criteria is in four areas: Economic participation, access to education, access to political power and to healthcare.

Iceland has improved since last year and is now getting a 90.8 percentage score. That means that Iceland is the first country to break the glass ceiling of 90%.
