In previous years it has also the wettest month of the year, so it's important to pack waterproof clothing. Day Light Hours in March During March, Iceland experiences around 12 hours of daylight. The days are getting longer, and the sun rises around 7:30 AM and sets around 6 PM. It's important to check the weather and road conditions before setting out on a road trip.While you don’t have to rent a four-wheel drive vehicle, some people do so because you have more control over the car due the roads potentially being slippery and icy.
